I’ve recently started a new Facebook community called Needle-felting: Learn, share and grow, and I’d love to invite you to join us.
I’m already a member of several needle-felting Facebook groups, but I wanted to create something a little different: a welcoming and inspiring space where needle-felters can share their work, ask questions, exchange ideas and encourage one another. To hear more of my vision for the group, please watch this video (above).
Importantly, it is also a group where you are welcome to share the needle-felted products, patterns, workshops, books, courses and other resources you create.
Many creative groups do not allow members to mention their websites or promote their work. I believe that making, teaching, sharing and earning from our creativity can happily coexist, provided promotion is relevant, respectful and does not overwhelm the group.
Whether you are a complete beginner, an experienced artist, a teacher, a pattern designer or someone who simply loves needle-felting and the joy of creating, you are warmly invited. The group will be a space where needle-felters can:
Share both finished work and works in progress.
Ask questions and exchange helpful advice.
Talk about their process, tools and materials.
Talk about hot topics in the felting world.
Find inspiration and encourage other makers.
Promote relevant handmade work, patterns, books, workshops and courses.
Connect with other needle-felters from around the world.
The community is still small, which means this is a lovely opportunity to join near the beginning and help shape the kind of encouraging, generous group it becomes.
Visit our Facebook group HERE, click ‘Join’, and I'll approve your request.
Please feel free to introduce yourself and share something you have made, something you are working on, or even a question you would like help with.
I would also be delighted if you invited another needle-felter who you think would enjoy being part of the community.
I hope to see you there!
