Sarah Ritchie needle-felting workshop Jun25

Create your own ‘painting’ out of fibre at a guided learning workshop

I run needle-felting workshops throughout the year, teaching the art of creating 'paintings' with natural wool and cotton fibres.

Whether you're completely new to needle-felting or already experienced with fibre arts, you're warmly invited to join in. My workshops are designed to be achievable for beginners while still offering inspiration and techniques for more seasoned felters.

If you've never tried making a needle-felted fibre painting before, don't worry – I'll guide you through each step, from choosing your colours to building up your layers to create wonderful blends and depth.

If no New Zealand-based events are currently listed here, it simply means I'm between workshops for now – but more are on the way! Right now I am working on an online workshop that will be available to everyone worldwide. To be among the first to hear about new dates, please sign up for my email newsletter (below).

Can’t get to one of my workshops? Never fear, there is another way to learn my techniques. Please check out my latest needle-felting pattern books HERE. They have all the instruction you will need, with 10 of my original pattern designs in each book.

If you would like to chat about me guest-tutoring for your group (in-person or via video call) then please contact me HERE.

“Sarah has a wonderful approach to teaching someone something that they know nothing about. She explains the process step-by-step and makes it easy for the group to follow. She is very encouraging and brings out the artist in everyone.”
