Check out colour theory in action

Why do some colour palettes instantly feel balanced and beautiful, while others just don't seem to work?

In this video, I take you behind the scenes as I begin creating my latest needle-felted fibre painting, Pīwakawaka III (a New Zealand fantail). As I lay down the very first layer of wool fibre, I share one of the colour techniques that has become a cornerstone of my artwork – the analogus colour palette.

Whether you're new to colour theory or looking to strengthen your artistic confidence, I hope this gives you a fresh way of thinking about colour.
