10,000 Facebook group members!
When I started our needle-felting Facebook group, I remember wondering whether we might get 100 people to join.
Less than 3 months later there are 10,000 of us. That number is rather mind-boggling, but what makes me happiest isn’t actually the number. It’s the community that has grown underneath it.
Every day, people are sharing their knowledge, experiences, ideas and discoveries. Beginners are asking questions and finding people willing to help. Experienced felters are generously sharing what they’ve learnt. We’re comparing techniques, talking about materials and tools, solving problems, finding resources and learning from people who might be on the other side of the world.
10,000 is a wonderful milestone. But 10,000 people alone don’t make a community. The way those people show up for one another does. ❤️ And that is what I’m celebrating today.
