Where my inspiration comes from

Carol Tummon wrote a lovely comment about my artwork, ‘Standing Still I’. She said “While I've never been to New Zealand this work gives us a real feeling for the area that provides inspiration for you!” Carol’s comment reminded me that I rarely show you inspiration behind my artworks.

Here is a photo, taken of me in 2019 at a friend’s place in the Kaipara Hills. It is a typical example of what the landscape looks like north of Auckland. This photo is a perfect example of the view that brings me immense joy – the joy that I hope to convey through my art.
