Getting fibre-artsy in New Plymouth

We had a really enjoyable 1.5 day workshop with Taranaki Creative Fibre, in New Plymouth. The winter sun was (mostly) shining and everyone was able to complete their needle-felted fibre painting, which was fabulous to see. So proud of the results!

There are two remaining in-studio workshops for 2026 (in Auckland).

Whether you’re completely new to needle-felting or already have some experience, these workshops are designed to be relaxed, creative, and hands-on, with plenty of guidance along the way.

• Saturday 22 August, Bookmark workshop: Design and create your own beautiful needle-felted bookmark from a selection of original patterns. Learn my special 4-layer technique. (5 spots left)

• Saturday 17 October, Christmas ornament workshop: Get into the festive spirit early with a simple, handmade needle-felted ornament perfect for your tree or gifting. (Only one spot left!)

Time: 9am – 4pm.

Location: Millwater, Auckland.

Cost: NZD$160 per person, including all materials.
