The Milk Bottle Diaries - Christmas Stamp 1985

I love this little piece of Christmas-past which I found in a second-hand shop. It was postmarked Kingham, Berks (UK), 7 December 1985 (a very good year for pop music!). They used two stamps – a standard 1p stamp and a lovely one of a Christmas angel (when you tilt the stamp you see pretty silver angel wings). And then there’s another mark – sent from the Post Office to the receiver (and now from me to you) – “A Happy Christmas, The Post Office”. Yes, indeed.
