This table easel was specifically designed to support small needle-felted fibre paintings such as the 7” x 5” projects featured in my book “Needle-felting with Sarah Ritchie: Fibre Painting Pattern Collection 1”.
 
After years of experimenting with different setups, I created this easel to improve posture, reduce strain on the neck and shoulders, and provide a stable angled surface that makes the needle-felting process more comfortable and efficient.
 
The design is simple, functional, and ideal for home use. It’s compact enough to fit on a standard table or desk and can be easily cut and assembled by those with some experience using (and access to) basic woodworking tools. Once completed, your easel will help make your needle-felting sessions more enjoyable and ergonomic.
